I started attending painting classes in oils at CAE and Community Houses in the early 80\'s. Then, with two children and work, stopped painting completely until around 2000, when I started sketching occasionally. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nAs my retirement was approaching, I started planning to go back to art classes. First of all I had lessons in watercolour, then did oils again, so now paint in either medium, including pen and wash. Have also done some works in acrylic and charcoal. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nNow, in my leisure? years, am attending classes, have joined Mt Evelyn & Yarra Valley Art Society, with monthly competitions, first in startinglevel, then moved to higher level. Have entered various Art Shows and have been awarded \"Highly Commended\" and have sold works. I have also had a couple of commissions. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nIt is certainly an activity I love! |
