BIOGRAPHY
I am Melbourne based and each year now I spend time on the Sunshine Coast Qld. Having studied silversmithing many years ago, it took retirement from teaching to draw me back into the world of art.
Art provides a perfect balance from my love of competing in Masters Swimming. I am totally absorbed in putting creative energy into my art works.
I am a member of the Malvern Artist Society and have been lucky enough to have won a couple of prizes in their exhibitions in the last two years.
I love drawing in charcoal, pastel and since covid lockdown I have been experimenting with acrylics in an intuitive style of painting. It is such a freeing style and expressive.
I feel privileged to be part of a small life drawing group that is entitled to communicate the models energy and beauty through line, colour and shape.
One important characteristic of my art is that I like it to be colourful, energetic and pleasing to the eye. I find the naked body is in itself a work of art. |
